We invite you to participate in shaping the future of life science in the region. At the Uppsala Life forum, participants will find a unique opportunity to get a comprehensive overview of the field, build important networks, and discuss regional and global challenges with leading experts from the business sector, the research community, and relevant public bodies.

The forum takes place on October 15 at Uppsala Castle, and it is the first time that representatives from the entire Uppsala life science sector – from global businesses and start-ups to universities and government offices – can meet to discuss the needs, challenges and opportunities of the local industry.

Among the invited speakers are Anna Hallberg, minister for Foreign Trade, the Government’s national life science coordinator Jenni Nordborg, and researcher and entrepreneur Sara Mangsbo, this year’s winner of the first prize for Entrepreneur of the Year in Veckans affärers Super Talent competition.

During the day, talks and panels will be held to locate and pinpoint common local and global challenges, and to discuss what needs to be done to increase the competitiveness of the region and create conditions for further growth.Among the participants are business leaders from Uppsala’s largest life science companies, local growth industry start-ups, and consultants and service providers from relevant fields, such as IT and other technology.

At the end of the forum participants will get an opportunity to mingle and network while enjoying some live music and food.

The event is moderated by Anna Nilsson Vindefjärd, Secretary general of Forska!Sverige.

This event is free of charge.
