Creating conditions for healthy growth
We invite you to participate in shaping the future of life science in the region. At the Uppsala Life forum, participants will find a unique opportunity to get a comprehensive overview of the field, build important networks, and discuss regional and global challenges with leading experts from industry, university, and relevant public bodies.
When: 15 October 2019, 13.00-20.00. Registration opens end of August.
Where: Rikssalen, Uppsala Castle, Uppsala
Host: Uppsala BIO, STUNS
Taking place on October 15 in the Uppsala Castle, the event is the first time when representatives from the whole of Uppsala’s life science sector – from global businesses and start-ups to universities and government offices – can meet to discuss the workings of the industry. The event provides a great opportunity to get quick insights into the developments in the field, meet the main local actors, and gain access to valuable regional networks.
During the day, business leaders from global and regional companies will gather alongside experts from relevant fields to share experiences and discuss the industry from a macro as well as a local perspective. Panel discussions will be held to locate and pinpoint common challenges, and suggestions regarding what can be done to strengthen the regional business climate will be discussed. After the conference, the event organizers will present the main points to the relevant stakeholders.
Based on a tradition of collaboration between industry, university and the public sector, the life science sector today is the largest contributor of growth in the Uppsala region. The Uppsala Life forum is an effort to encourage further collaboration by providing a platform where all relevant actors can meet, exchange ideas, and contribute to the development of the field.
Uppsala Life is hosted by Uppsala BIO, a part of the non-for-profit foundation STUNS, with the aim to create conditions for a healthy, attractive, and competitive life science region.
