Three vigorous business parks –one is just right for you

Uppsala has three flourishing business parks with different yet complementary profiles. They cover everything from start-up needs to global business requirements. Which one suits you?

Uppsala Science Park

Uppsala Science Park is located at the centre of the campus formed by the approximately 200 institutions that comprise Uppsala’s two universities and right across the road from the internationally recognised SciLifeLab.

A strong cluster of supporting organisations is well established here, including innovation support, business and project planning, internationalisation, patents and legal matters, and venture capital assistance.

About 140 companies and organisations are based in the park. Dominant sectors are biotechnology/biomedicine, materials science, space technology and IT. It is already home to the Swedish Medical Products Agency and the Swedish National Food Agency has just announced that it will relocate to new purpose-built headquarters alongside.

Uppsala Business Park

Uppsala Business Park is strategically located at the southern entrance to Uppsala. Originally commissioned by Pharmacia to house its global headquarters, today’s park offers spacious, well-appointed office, research laboratories and manufacturing facilities for a wide range of life science applications.

Uppsala Business Park now employs over 2,200 people in more than 70 companies ranging from major international corporations like J&J, Thermo Fisher Scientific, Fresenius Kabi and Eurofins to fast-growing ventures such as OssDsign, Orexo, Bioworks and Novus Scientific. And there’s room for more!

Green Innovation Park

Uppsala’s newest business park, the fifty-acre Green Innovation Park, was inaugurated in September 2016. It’s already home to some of the region’s most influential ‘green business’ researchers, entrepreneurs and companies.

The park boasts a state-of-the-art infrastructure where academia, industry and the public sector interact and collaborate – both locally and internationally. Its property portfolio suits large and small businesses, service companies and manufacturers.

Around 20 companies have already moved in, becoming near neighbours with the Swedish University of Agricultural Sciences and the National Veterinary Institute.
