– Uppsala Innovation Centre (UIC)
Strong business development for Uppsala BIO-supported enterprises plus a great result for UIC itself.
Uppsala BIO and Uppsala Innovation Centre have enjoyed fruitful cooperation agreements since 2004. Significant financial support from Uppsala BIO for UIC’s business development program for life science projects and companies is a key part of this arrangement.
In 2017, 95 projects and companies participated in a UIC program, of which thirty-seven are active in life science. These enterprises participated in the following programs: Business Startup 20; Business Lab 10; Business Prep 2; Business Accelerator / Alumni 5. The development of the companies included in UIC’s programs has been strong. Moreover, UBI Global has ranked UIC as number four in the world for business incubators with a university connection.
